Can Canine Central help my dog ?

  • Geriatrics – Age related Weakness
  • Osteoarthritis

  • Post op Cruciate
  • Obesity
  • Hip or Elbow Dysplasia
  • Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)

How many sessions does it take?

This will depend on your dog’s condition, if it’s acute or chronic and the severity of their injury or illness. Some dogs will only need a couple of sessions while others may require on-going treatment for months.

Do I need a referral from my veterinarian for Canine Rehabilitation?

If your dog requires a therapeutic exercise programme and/or a Home Exercise programme you will require a Vet Referral form. You can download one of these in the contact page to send to your vet.

However, if your dog requires Laser or Bowen therapy it’s not necessary to have a referral from your vet.

Do I have to bring my dog to the clinic or can you come and treat him at my home?

I would prefer to treat your dog at my clinic room and gym space in Bannockburn but if they have anxiety or mobility issues that would prevent them from travelling we can arrange a mobile visit.

*Travel costs would apply .

Why do I need to do a Home Exercise Programme and how long will it take me?

To give your dog the best outcome they need your input and participation. I will teach you specific exercises that you can do at home between consults that will help your dog’s return to function.

We will work together to make sure these are both manageable and sustainable.

It’s also a great way to enhance your bond with your dog.

It shouldn’t take longer than 20 minutes a day.

Does Canine Central treat cats?

Yes, we do treat cats usually with a referral from your veterinarian.
